An effective and efficient way to fall asleep easily.

Some people think that sleeping is the best thing on earth, where you live in your own world and dwell in the twilight of reality and falsehood. But some idiots call sleeping a waste of time and life. Where the time spent on sleeping should be fully utilised to fulfill more meaningful things in life, which is bullshit I say.

Anyways, I believe that not a single person in this world never had any difficulties falling asleep. Sometimes, we have to toss and turn in the bed, trying to get into our "ideal sleeping position", having too much troubles for the near future to get some eye-shut and things like that. When you finally fall asleep, it's already wee-hours in the morning and all you had was several pathetic hours of real rest.

I've recently worked out and created a very useful, tried and tested method to enhance and increase the likelihood of falling asleep, not only that, it will also give you a good chance to have a dreamless night. Many studies have shown that dreamless sleep is the best and most healthy ones that you have, as it proves that you brain activities is kept to the minimal, and so does your body functions, which makes your body work less hard to recuperate spent energy and rejuvenation of cells. I call this method

How does Self-Hypnotising works?
As you know, psychiatrists sometimes uses hypnotism to enter the minds of their patients to learn more about what are they suffering from and how can they diagnose their patients. By hypnotising someone, it makes one's brain more skeptical to external influences. Self-hypnotising means hypnotising oneself into the state of relaxation, where you can gain more control over your brain to do your bidding.

Step-by-step to getting Self-Hypnotisation done:

Firstly, you must prepare yourself for bedtime, or an appropriate sleeping environment. Which means, you must feel comfortable and clean, dimmed/off-ed lights, suitable room temperature noise-free or equipped with soothing and relaxing bedtime tunes (lullaby, classical music, soft genre music with no emotional themes). Also, try not to eat anything or drink bevarages containing soda, alcohol (but just a glass of red wine would be brillant), caffeine or any cold drinks. But instead, get yourself a glass of warm milk, milo or hot chocolate instead.

Secondly, try to get yourself into the most comfortable position and stay there. (If you've to spend quite sometime tossing and turning to find that most position, you might as well just stop fidgeting and just stay still in any normal sleeping position you prefer. Most importantly, get yourself into a appropriate position to prepare for self-hypnotising.

Thirdly, close your eyes and make sure that there is no light shining towards your eyes (even when it's shut) as you may feel irritated. Try to remove all your thoughts and distractions, this is very important as when you enter the phase of self-hypnotising, it would be useless if you have another 1,000 thoughts running through your mind. It's okay if you're not able to do so, as you can try to eliminate these distractions during the course of self-hypnotising. But of course, it would be the best if you could clear your mind before starting on the session.

Now, it's time for unveil the most important part of this post. As you close your eyes, talk to yourself in the head (not speaking out loud). Say it slowly and softly to your head, imagine yourself talking to a newborn baby.

  1. Close your eyes, you can see a bright, white, light. You're blinded by the light and there's nothing else you can see in the path.
  2. Slowly, this light fades away, and you're replaced by darkness. You cannot see anything, not even your own hands. All you can see is darkness, dull, black boring darkness.
  3. But even the this place of darkness, you felt quite comfortable, with occasional gentle breeze, you can feel the wind in your face, almost like lying on meadows, where you can hear cows and sheep grazing the fields, and the rustling of the leaves and the smell of the grass.
  4. You lie comfortable on the patch of grass, it feels alot better than heaven. Slowly and quickly, you start to feel very lethargic, very lazy. Not willing to standup, or even move a finger, you just wanna lay there, and savour this moment. Every moment, you just get more and more tired, very, very tired. You don't wanna think of anything, nothing is as important as enjoying this time of your life.
  5. As you are enjoying this moment, it felt like you're sinking into the grass, sinking slowly and steadily, into the ground, back into the darkness.
  6. TADA!~ Before you know it, you've already fallen asleep! Focus all your attention on talking to your head which makes yourself distracted from any other distractions. Remember not to rush through the process as it will only make you more restless. For people that have tried this method after reading this entry, please feedback to me if it's useful or not. =)
